HUPO AwardsThe Human Proteome Organization presents HUPO awards annually at the World Congress. These awards recognize the outstanding efforts and achievements of individuals (or groups) in the field of proteomics. HUPO gratefully acknowledges the support of Journal of Proteome Research (ACS Publications) and the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) as sponsors of the annual HUPO awards. 2. A short statement (300 words maximum) in which the applicant describes the novelty and impact of the publication on the field of proteomics. 3. (Optional) A declaration regarding any leave of absence along with the exact dates and duration. Selection Process: The HUPO ECR Committee and a panel of ad-hoc expert scientists will score the publications and select three finalists based on the following criteria:
The three finalists will be selected and notified by June 1, 2024. The finalists are required to submit an abstract for HUPO 2024 and provide a short biosketch and headshot picture within five business days of receiving their notifications. Prize: Awards along with cash prizes ($1,000 to winner, $500/each to two runners up) will be presented during the Closing Ceremony & Awards Session at HUPO 2024. In addition, the three finalists will receive complimentary registration for HUPO 2024 (registration will be refunded post congress). ECR Poster CompetitionSupported by Molecular Omics The HUPO Early Career Researcher (ECR) Committee invites all graduate students (Master’s and PhD) and postdocs to participate in the poster competition at HUPO 2023, taking place September 17-21, in Busan, South Korea to win awards and cash prizes. To participate, graduate students and postdocs only need to indicate during the abstract submission whether they would like to participate in the competition. More details found here. HUPO Early Career Researcher (ECR) Committee in collaboration with the Human Proteome Project is organizing a 3-minute thesis competition. 12 candidates will be pre-selected for the final competition, to be held in a parallel session at HUPO 2023 in Busan, South Korea September 17-21, 2023.......and you are invited to participate! Join the adventure and win the prize! HUPO Staff Scientist Travel Awards HUPO 2023 is pleased to offer a new education and travel award to support non-commercial staff scientists and or lab directors from laboratories around the world to attend the in-person HUPO 2023 meeting in Busan, Korea. This award provides the opportunity for scientific staff members which are not on an academic/university track to learn about the latest proteotyping technology and data analysis/interpretation advancements. By attending HUPO2023, staff members can grow professionally by attending educational sessions, networking, and developing professional relationships with colleagues across regional boundaries. This would also be your opportunity to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation upon selection by the scientific committee! HUPO 2023 would invite and encourage applications all staff scientists. More details found here. HPP Clinical Scientist Travel GrantsIn the past, the The Human Proteome Project (HPP) has connected with clinical scientists or clinicians who are using, or consider using, proteomics for their research projects. In 2019 the HPP supported five (5) clinical scientists with a USD $1000 travel grant plus complimentary congress registration to attend the HUPO World Congress in Adelaide, Australia. |
