Position Title: Assistant or Associate Professor Proteomics & Tumor Immunology (0.8 – 1.0 FTE)

Overview: Within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, we are looking for a new faculty member to join our Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics group. Our research programme is part of the renowned Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS).
Your focus in this position will be on proteomics with applications in tumor immunology and cancer. As a mass spectrometry expert, you will pursue opportunities for proteomics research in areas related to antigen presentation, tumor micro-environments, secretomics, single cell and spatial proteomics, and systems and quantitative biology. In addition, you are skilled in analytical and computational method development and desire to further contributions in these areas.
You will strengthen the excellent international scientific profile of UIPS and its central mission of studying molecular mechanisms of disease. You will establish collaborations within UIPS, the Faculty of Science , the UMCU, the Princess Maxima Centre, the Hubrecht Institute, and with other national and international institutes, in particular in connection to the ONCODE-PACT programme.
You will participate in the organization and management activities related to UIPS research and education programs and strengthen the Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics group. You are enthusiastic to lead teaching activities at both BSc and MSc level and supervise research projects of Postdoctoral Researchers, PhD candidates and MSc students.

Qualifications:

A PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
You have an internationally acknowledged research line with a strong publication and funding record.
You are an active player in international scientific communities.
