Co-Chairs: John R. Yates III and Alexander Bell
Room 202, level 2, Convention Center |
HUPO is leading the effort to create protein test standards for calibration of methods and techniques used in
proteome studies. Protein test standards can take a variety of forms including simple protein mixtures,
phosphoprotein mixtures, glycoprotein mixtures, and complex protein mixtures. Recent work on protein test
standards will be discussed in this forum including evaluations of protein mixtures for specific types of analyses and
suggestions for future protein test standards. |

Room: 104 C, Lobby level, Convention Center |
| The HUPO Liver Proteome Project is now reaching the end of its pilot phase. During this period, the scientific
objectives have been to characterize the proteome of the healthy human liver (expression profiling, cellular
localization, post-translational modifications, protein-protein interactions) and to develop tools for its study (sample
banking, ORFeome, antibodies). Achievements will be presented during this workshop and we will discuss how to
use the information and tools generated by this international effort, to understand, diagnose and treat liver diseases. |
